![]() Its just the operating software (OS) is not so good. Here's a list I sent to my mate Aero Andy:Ī: For USD40 (LeaderHobby) it's a bloody good TX. ![]() Just wanted to let you know - its all part of the service No cutting and no soldering (if you have a V2 TX)! And very little friggin around with soldering irons etc. NOTE: If you came here looking for a way to flash your TX and this looks all to hard Then have a look here: This Transmitter is also available as the Turnigy 9X.Ī) Install a port in the TX to allow an AVR Programmer to connect directly with the Atmel Microprocessor (uP)ī) Flash the TX's uP to an opensource operating system, either:Į) Install HobbyKing TurboThumbs gimbal control knobs And I'd still recommend using one as they are such a great way for you to get comfortable for a nice long flying session in the sim. This blog entry will be an illustration of my experiences modifying a Fly Sky FS-THX9X Transmitter. On a positive note I can happily say that I get 8 channels which is 2 more than the description says and that's made using it so much better. I can be flying in DRL sim and all of a sudden at random intervals I lose all control and the light in the dongle goes out, and there is no pattern to it, I've tried reinstalling it and rebinding it but nothing seems to work so I'm thinking it's either a firmware issue or a hardware problem as the first one works flawlessly. I have now been testing for well over a month and have noticed an issue I never had using the DSMX version, and I'm not exactly sure what is causing it. I have also recommended using these dongles to lots of fellow pilots in the DRL community and several have purchased one on my recommendation so when I heard a fellow pilot was having issues I was prompted to get this new FrSky version to see if it was his dongle at fault or a possible compatibility issue, plus it's always good to have a backup. I started using wireless USB dongles just over a year ago with the DSMX version of this Frsky dongle, and while using the DSMX version the only issues I ever had were caused by the radio I was using (Turnigy 9 XR Pro) but I needed to replace my old transmitter as it was starting to fail again so I decided to get the new FrSky X9 Lite Pro and multi protocol module. OrangeRx quality is guaranteed.ģ) Accepted by the MAAA in Australia, see the MAAA MOP58 for guidance Low power requirements (typically 40mA)ġ) This is not an FrSky product, nor is it a copy of an FrSky productĢ) This is not an underground black market fake FrSky product.Compatible with all open source simulators (Freerider, HotProps, Liftoff, DRL etc) and many others.6 channel output to standard USB HID device.Compatible with FrSky aircraft radio and module systems. ![]() ![]() ![]() There's never been a simpler way to use your transmitter as the controller for a flight simulator! All you need to do is to allow the pre-loaded HID driver to install onto your PC, laptop (Mac users will need to download the relevant HID drivers) and bind your transmitter to the dongle in the same way as you would a receiver. The Orange Rx FrSky USB Dongle is really just a receiver that binds with your transmitter and interfaces with your computer. Want to use your FrSky transmitter with your open source flight sim? This is the tool to let you do just that. ![]()
